A child will learn more in the infant stage of their life than they will at any other point. Within just 12 months, at Especially Children, your baby will transform from an infant who is totally dependent on caregivers, to a toddler who is starting to learn, walk, talk, and exhibit the first signs of independence. Especially Children Child Development Center believes that your infants are like sponges; ready, willing and able to soak up everything that is taught to them. This is why, in our baby-friendly clean infant class, we focus on stimulating their minds. At this tender age, Especially Children focuses specifically on gross/fine motor skills, language development, cognitive growth, creative activities, problem-solving methods and social interaction. These are all skills that they will need throughout life; but it starts at infancy. We have a nurse on duty during operating hours. Especially Children also provides Good Start Formula for infants and newborns. Especially Children’s infant curriculum includes High Scope, My Baby Can Read and Hooked on Phonics. Our exclusive customized curriculum also includes specialty programs such as; SignLanguage, Spanish, Pre-Literacy Activities, Indoor & Outdoor Projects, and much more. Parents get daily reports providing individualized progression, activities and information.
Toddlers are very busy exploring during this stage. This is why, at Especially Children, we energetically teach in a structured experimental environment that builds on the foundation from the infant classroom. With the help of parents, we teach the toddlers their basic body parts, shapes, colors, ABC’s, 1,2,3’s and much more. We also begin writing and coloring activities that enhance cognitive development.
Your toddlers cognitive skills soar above the norm at Especially Children with our exclusive activities designed to unleash their already curious and creative nature.Your toddler will experience literacy through books, puppet play, creative station, group activities, sign language, music, singing with movement, games, and much needed dialogue with peers and adults. At Especially Children, we constantly encourage our toddlers to be inquisitive and discover new things around them while making every moment teachable.

Especially Children Child Development Center is proud to say that we start every day off with devotion in all classrooms. We do not teach the children any religious or denominational beliefs but we do introduce them to Christ. This is done by singing popular Bible songs, reading Bible stories, memorizing Bible verses, praying, etc. At Especially Children, we believe that starting each day with positive Godly messages will set your child up for a successful day filled with learning and growth. After devotion, “everything else will fall into place.”
Education is our number one priority. As your child enters the preschool age, Especially Children Child Development Center will initiate a more structured learning environment similar to elementary school. The children will start to do Letters of the Week, Family Words of the Month, Numbers, Books, Writing, Hygiene Practices, Station Activities, Group Exercises, Art Projects, Continents, andPeople/Places to Know, etc. At this preschool age, we also create more of a value, with your child, in learning other languages and computer technology.
